My Library Friends are the Best!

Last week my wonderful friends at the library threw me a beautiful shower. I was amazed at how generous they were. We had a fancy dinner and a few tasteful games. I tell ya, being pregnant is fun!

This is Joanne, our awesome hostess - she really knows how to throw a party!

Here are a few of the guests. We had drinks and hors d'oeuvres on the patio before dinner.

Even Hank was invited to the shower! He had a lot of fun - we tried not to make it too girly for him.

We passed around a jar full of diaper pins and had to guess how many there were...we unscrambled baby-related words...and everyone suggested their favorite baby name. It was nice because the games were sprinkled throughout the party, so they didn't get annoying.

That was so nice for them to throw you a shower. It sounds like fun. I'm excited for your shower next Saturday.

I had a lot of fun at the Cookie Lee party and several guests have told me so also. Thank you! I'm excited that Tera is going to have one.

I am finally blogging about our big trip to Hawaii last month. It was our 3rd anniversary and our dear friends, the Barnums, said we could come visit them anytime we wanted....so we did! Here are a lot of pictures, in no particular order: On the actual day of our anniversary, April 19th, Hank and I left the baby with a sitter and hit the town by ourselves. Since I wasn't a fan of the whole snorkling thing, we took a submarine ride to get a good view of the sea life. Yes, that is a real sea turtle in the real ocean, 100 ft underwater. I snapped this picture out my window. The view of Waikiki from our sub before we went under. The flag at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. So Sleepy . . .

So, we may be terrible parents, but we thought this was so funny. Jessica wouldn't take an afternoon nap today and by dinnertime she was exhausted. She was so tired that she couldn't even chew her food. The best part was that Hank could not stop laughing at her and it was keeping her awake. This video was much longer, but I cut it down...because watching a baby fall asleep may not be as interesting to you as it was to us.
